A couple of weeks ago, my cousin Michelle and her family came to town. Now, what you should know is that when people come to our house, it is traditional to invite all the other local cousins over for dinner, which can be quite a crowd. That said, Michelle and I initially decided on something simple: pick up rotisserie chickens from Walmart.
Good idea, right?
Then I decided to make the sides myself. Here's where the fun begins. I made the most awesome potato dish EVER! A take on traditional hot German potato salad, this is called Hot Amish Potato Salad, because it came from an Amish recipe site.

I want to tell you, the kids (who I thought would be skeptical) gobbled this stuff up! They were all asking for more, so I'm going to have to make this on regular basis from now on.
